In what feels like a lifetime ago, I was kicked off a Division 1 volleyball team…

I never really open up about this because to this day it pains me, and it robbed me of my passion and at the time, my happiness.

To that point, it was my entire identity.

I felt like I went to a somebody to a nobody.

I felt alone.

I had no plan. No support.
No team or community.

What was I supposed to do without anyone telling me what TO do, or cheering me on.

That lead me to competing in CrossFit.. until my body couldn’t handle it and I was told to stop by my orthopedic surgeon.

Then that led me to bodybuilding.. where I became an IFBB Bikini Pro.

All of these things – led me to creating my DBFTFitGuide’s, helping people LEARN and have a PLAN when I wish I did.

Let me tell you, during these times, I’ve had my fair share of fat loss phases done correctly and incorrectly.

Going through a fat loss phase I felt so tired, drained of energy, eating the same thing everyday, and doing endless cardio..

That's all I knew to do.

I thought fat loss is supposed to suck the life out of you.

I thought if it didn’t suck you weren’t “working hard enough”.
I thought you had to go low carb.

The answer is no to all of those.

Now, I’m so thankful for that moment in time, because it fueled my passion to provide others with the right tools and knowledge so you can fit lifestyle into your fitness
